why we chose print

The Sisters Digest was created from something that stayed with us for a long time. As two mothers, we found ourselves longing for something slower and more meaningful in a world that constantly asks us to keep up. We wanted words we could return to, stories that felt rooted and familiar, and a sense of connection that didn’t live behind a screen. What began as a shared desire for something more intentional grew into a monthly print newspaper meant to be held, read slowly, and lived with.

Over the past several years, we’ve come to understand just how vital community truly is. Not the kind built through endless scrolling, but the kind formed through shared rhythms, thoughtful conversation, and presence in our everyday lives. The Sisters Digest is shaped by that understanding. Each issue gathers articles, artwork, poetry, and reflections centered on home, motherhood, marriage, nourishment, creativity, and the quiet choices that shape our days. It is an offering to those who care deeply about the way they tend their homes, raise their children, nurture their relationships, and live with intention. Our hope is that this newspaper feels like an invitation. One that reminds you that you are not alone, and that there is value in slowing down and choosing what truly matters.
